The dependency on forests and their produces varies greatly among different groups of society. They are called stakeholders of the forests. Stakeholders of the forest are those people, groups, industries which are getting benefited by the forest and want to make them flourish. The four main stakeholders of the forest include Local and tribal people, Forest department of the Government, Industrialists, and Naturalists and social workers. The Forest department of the Government has the responsibility to manage the forests in an efficient way and to generate revenue. This is because they have sufficient power and resources to manage all forest resources.
