Modern Periodic Table removes the following anomalies of Mendeleev’s Periodic Table:

(i) Modern Periodic table classify elements based on an atomic number of elements. The atomic number is a more fundamental property than the atomic mass.

(ii) Hydrogen is located at the top of Group 1 in the Modern Periodic table.

(iii) The cobalt is given a place before nickel even though cobalt is heavier than a nickel.

(iv) The isotopes contain the same atomic number. So, they are placed in the same position in the Modern Periodic Table.
