Acids,Bases, and Salts

Why do HCl, HNO3, etc show acidic characters in aqueous solutions while solutions of compounds like alcohol and glucose do not show acidic character?

HCl and HNO3 show an acidic character in aqueous solution because they dissociate in aqueous solution to release hydrogen ion. The formation of hydrogen ion is responsible for the acidic nature of the solution. While alcohol and glucose are non-electrolyte and they do not dissociate in water to form hydrogen ions. That is why alcohol and glucose do not show acidic character.
