Q
Acids,Bases, and Salts

Question:

You have two solutions A and B. The pH of solution A is 6 and pH of solution B is 8. Which solution has more hydrogen ion concentration? Which of this is acidic and which one is basic?

Answer:

The pH is defined as a scale which is used to measure the concentration of hydrogen ion present in the solution.

The solution with pH 6 is acidic while the solution with pH 8 is alkaline. So, the solution with pH 6 will contain more concentration of hydrogen ion than the solution with pH 8.
