(a) Cutting a log of wood into pieces is a chemical change. (False)
The log of wood is a substance that is cut down into smaller wood pieces. So, the bigger wood changes into smaller wood pieces. This means that the physical appearance of wood changes but the chemical composition of the wood remains the same. So, it is a physical change.
(b) Formation of manure from leaves is a physical change. (False)
The green leaves decomposed to form manure. This means that the chemical composition of the green leaves changes to form a new substance, that is manure. So, it is a chemical change.
(c) Iron pipes coated with zinc do not get rusted easily. (True)
(d) Iron and rust are the same substances. (False)
Rust is formed when iron metal is exposed to moist air. Rust or hydrated iron oxide s a brown layer on the iron metal. So, iron and rust are two different substances.
(e) Condensation of steam is not a chemical change. (True)

We had a good experience with EduSaksham. Because sheets are available online, Vedant enjoyed doing more and more sheets without any reminders. I could leave him on his own as he was very much motivated to cover the topics.
