What is the acceleration of free fall?


A free-falling object is an object that is falling under the influence of gravity. When it falls, the earth is attracting the object with gravitational force and there is a change in velocity that is an acceleration is associated with it.

Acceleration of free fall is denoted by g and its value on the surface of earth is 9.8 ms^{-2}, which is constant for all objects irrespective of their masses.
