Reversible changes: The are the changes in which the substance regains its original state or shape. Some examples of reversible change are:

(a) Glowing of an electric bulb

(d) Folding of paper

 

Irreversible change: These are the changes in which the substance cannot regain its original state or shape. Some examples of irreversible change are:

(a) Cooking of food

(b) Burning of wood

(c) Tearing of paper

(d) Growth of a plant
