Answer:

(a) Both acids and bases change the color of all indicators. This statement is not true. For example, turmeric solution turns red in the base but remains yellow in the acidic solution. This means that acids and bases cannot change the color of all indicators.

(b) If an indicator gives a color change with an acid, it does not give a change with a base. This statement is not true. For example, when we add China rose indicator to acid, it given a deep pink color and when it is added to a base, it gives green color.

(c) If an indicator changes color with a base, it does not change color with an acid. This statement is not true. For example, when we add a litmus solution to a base, it gives blue color but when we add it to an acid, the magenta color of the litmus solution changes to red. 

(d) Change of color in an acid and a base depends on the type of the indicator. This statement is true. For example, the acid solution gives red color in the litmus indicator while it shows no change in the phenolphthalein indicator. But, the base gives blue color in the litmus indicator and pink color in the phenolphthalein indicator.

Hence, (iv) only d is correct.
