(i) Rearing: The process of keeping, feeding, breeding, and medical care of useful animals is called rearing.

(ii) Shearing: Shearing is the process in which hairs, along with a thin layer of skin are removed from the body of the animals. As shown in the figure given below how the man is removing hairs from the sheeps body.

(iii) Sericulture: Sericulture is the process of rearing silkworms for extracting silk. The thread of silk is obtained from the cocoon of the silk moth.
