### Closure Property of Integers

Closure property of Addition of Integers:

If a and b are two integers, then a + b is also an integer.

When we add any two integers, the result will always be an integer.
This is true for all integers. If we add -4 to 5 on the number line, we start from -4 and jump 5 places to the right of -4. We reach 1 on the number line. So, -4 + 5 = 1, an integer Closure Property of Subtraction of Integers

If a and b are two integers, then a − b is also an integer.

When we subtract an integer from another, the result will always be an integer. This is true for all integers. If we subtract4 from-5,(-5 -4) on the number line, we start from -4 and jump 5 places to the left of -4. We reach-9 on the number line. So, -5 - 4 = -9, which is an integer CBSE Class 7 Study Material
